Product upload & catalog
Getting your full product catalog into Shopify properly: titles, descriptions, images, variants, and collections, structured for both customers and search.
In depth
What product upload & catalog really involves
A store is only as good as its catalogue. Messy product data, with inconsistent titles, missing sizes, random tags and photos in every shape, makes a store feel untrustworthy and hard to filter. It's also tedious to fix after the fact, especially with a few hundred products.
We start by tidying the source: your spreadsheet, supplier file or old store export. Then we decide the structure. How are variants handled? What collections make sense to shoppers, not just to you? Which attributes do people filter by? A good structure up front means filters and navigation work without hacks later.
Product pages also matter for search, since each is a chance to appear for a specific query. We write titles and descriptions that read naturally and say something useful, instead of pasting a supplier's text that appears on fifty other sites. Duplicate manufacturer copy is one of the most common reasons product pages struggle to rank.

How we approach product upload & catalog
Clean the source data
We standardise names, sizes, prices and SKUs in your spreadsheet or export before importing anything.
Plan collections, tags and variants
Structure follows how shoppers browse. We decide the logic before uploading.
Bulk import and image handling
Products go in through import tools, with images resized, named and given alt text.
Write and check product content
Titles and descriptions get tidied, and we spot-check the live store for errors.
Ideal for
Who this fits

Watch out for
Common mistakes, and how we avoid them
Using supplier descriptions as-is
The same text on many sites is weak for SEO. We rewrite where it matters.
Inconsistent variants
Size and colour handled differently across products confuses filters. We standardise.
Heavy, unoptimised images
Large files slow pages. We compress and size them properly.
