Hosting & domain setup help
Practical help getting your site live: domain configuration, hosting setup, and DNS, explained plainly, with clarity on what we do and don't manage ongoing.
In depth
What hosting & domain setup help really involves
Hosting and domains are the part of a website that nobody wants to deal with, until a site goes down or an email stops arriving. Then it matters enormously, usually at the worst moment, and often the login belongs to a freelancer who vanished three years ago.
So our first rule is ownership. Your domain should be registered in your name, and your hosting account in your business's name, with us added as a collaborator. It's remarkable how often that isn't the case. Everything else we do builds on that.
The rest is plain setup: choosing hosting that suits your traffic and location, pointing DNS records correctly, setting up SSL so the padlock appears, creating business email addresses, and making sure the www and non-www versions behave. None of it is glamorous, but a mistake in any of it can take a site, or your email, offline.

Review what you have
We check where your domain is registered, who controls it, and what hosting and email are in place.
Choose the right hosting
Based on the site type, traffic and audience location, we recommend hosting that's fast enough without being wasteful.
Configure DNS, SSL and email
Domain records, HTTPS and business email (with SPF and DKIM so messages don't land in spam) are set up and tested.
Hand over the keys
You get all logins and a short note on what's where, with renewal dates, so nothing lapses by surprise.

Domain registered by someone else
If a past vendor owns it, you're at their mercy. We help move ownership to you.
