Performance & Core Web Vitals

Focused work on how fast and stable your site feels: load times, layout shift, and interactivity, measured against Google's actual Core Web Vitals metrics.

In depth

What performance & core web vitals really involves

Slow sites lose people. That much is obvious, and most of us have closed a page that took too long. What's less obvious is how many sites are slow for fixable, boring reasons: huge images, too many scripts, fonts loaded badly, or cheap hosting that struggles under load.

Google's Core Web Vitals give three measurements for it: how fast the main content appears, how quickly the page reacts to a tap or click, and whether things jump around while loading. They're a ranking signal, though a modest one. Content relevance still matters more. But the same fixes help real visitors, which is the better reason to do it.

We start by measuring, ideally with real-user data where your site has enough traffic, plus lab tests for the rest. Then we fix the biggest problems first. It's often the same handful of culprits, and fixing two or three can make a visible difference. We'll tell you plainly what's achievable, not promise a perfect score.

How it goes

How we approach performance & core web vitals

01

Measure properly

We test key pages on mobile with lab tools and check real-user data from Search Console where it exists.

02

Find the heavy parts

Images, scripts, fonts and third-party tags get ranked by how much they slow the page.

03

Fix in order of impact

Compress and resize images, defer scripts, tidy fonts and layout shifts, review hosting and caching.

04

Re-test and keep watch

We re-run the measurements, share before and after, and set up checks so speed doesn't quietly slide again.

Ideal for

Who this fits

01

Sites that feel slow, especially on mobile

02

Businesses whose SEO is held back by technical performance

Watch out for

Common mistakes, and how we avoid them

Chasing a perfect score

A 100 in a lab test isn't the goal. Real visitors on real phones are. We optimise for them.

Too many third-party tags

Chat widgets, trackers and pop-ups add up. We question each one's value.

Fixing the homepage only

Product, service and blog pages matter too. We test the page types that bring traffic.
