Security & performance
The unglamorous fundamentals done right: authentication, data handling, and speed, so the app is safe and fast without relying on marketing claims.
In depth
What security & performance really involves
Security and speed often get left for the end, and deadlines then squeeze them out. They're better treated as qualities of the whole build. A slow app quietly loses users, and a leaky one can lose trust loudly. Both cost far less to design in than to retrofit after launch.
On security, the essentials aren't exotic: sign-in done properly, tokens and sensitive data kept in the platform's secure storage, all traffic encrypted, input checked on the server, permissions requested only for what's needed. Many real problems come from simple mistakes such as trusting the client, embedding secrets in the app or leaving debug endpoints on, not from clever attacks.
On performance, we measure instead of guessing. Profiling on real mid-range phones shows where start-up is slow, which lists stutter and how much battery and data the app burns. Then we fix what the numbers show: oversized images, needless redraws, chatty API calls. If your app handles personal data we'll help you think about privacy duties too, though legal advice itself should come from a qualified professional.

How we approach security & performance
Review the risks
We list what the app protects, such as accounts, payments and personal data, and the likeliest ways things could go wrong, then rank fixes by real risk.
Check authentication and storage
Sign-in flows, sessions, token storage and server-side checks are reviewed against accepted mobile security practice.
Profile on real devices
Start-up time, frame rate, memory and network use, measured on mid-range hardware and slow connections, to give a baseline.
Fix, re-measure, report
Changes in priority order, re-tested, and summarised in plain language so you can see what improved and what's left.
Ideal for
Who this fits
Apps handling sensitive user or payment data
Existing apps that feel slow or have known security gaps
Watch out for
Common mistakes, and how we avoid them
Trusting the client
Any check done only inside the app can be bypassed. Important rules live on the server.
Optimising by hunch
Without profiling, effort goes to the wrong places. We measure first.
Collecting data you don't need
Every extra data point is a liability. We collect only what the product requires.

Security & performance: common questions
Yes. We review the build and backend, report findings in priority order, and can fix them. For formal compliance certification you'd still need a specialist auditor.
